Mumbai:
Uday Samant in January had directed colleges and universities in Maharashtra to play the National Anthem at the beginning of their public programmes, according to a report.
Uday Samant said that colleges and universities too should adopt singing the National Anthem just like it is played at movie theaters before the movie starts, the report said.
Uday Samant said that playing and singing the National Anthem will infuse a sense of national pride in the young students and at the same will also teach them the importance of India’s Independence, the report added.
