Thane: Project Green Gold (lead by Keshav Srushti Gram Vikas Yojna) business launch with training graduation of around 300 women and men happened yesterday in Chinchpada village of Vikramgad taluka in presence of around 400 people. The event was lead and managed by villagers themselves. From tarpha nrutya to start with till prarthana by MSK children of Chinchpada all was prepared by villagers. Women presented group songs and their views about training. Santoshji Gaikwad and Sunilji Deshpande pumped up the moral with their motivating speeches. Dada Wadekar demonstrated few tools specifically made for bamboo work. Over 80 kinds of beautiful bamboo crafts and 9 stalls made the event colorful and special. A total of approx 36000 worth bamboo crafts were sold in few hours of this event. Around 600 people had lunch after the event. The magnitude and effect of the event was mesmerizing.
This is just the beginning. Requesting everyone’s support to empower 300 families which will change life of around 1500 rural people, all lead by rural women. Thanking all for making if happen.
