
Saroj Khan died at a Mumbai hospital early on Thursday night (Friday 1:52a.m.). The Bollywood choreographer had complained of breathing difficulties and has been in the hospital since June 17.
Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan died of a cardiac arrest at the age of 72 on Friday morning. She was admitted to Mumbai’s Guru Nanak Hospital last month after she complained of trouble in breathing.
Saroj Khan was admitted to Guru Nanak Hospital at Bandra, Mumbai on June 17, 2020. She was admitted with breathing complaints, and died of cardiac arrest at 1:52 am early on Friday, July 3, 2020. The legendary choreographer had severe diabetes and related illness, and had tested negative for COVID-19
Saroj directed over 2000 songs in her long and storied career. Her most famous collaborations were with actors Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi.

Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh wrote, “Saddened to hear of ace choreographer & three times national awardee Saroj Khan’s demise at 72. Many of the 2000+ iconic songs she choreographed have a permanent place in audiences’ hearts. Deepest condolences to her family, friends, colleagues & fans!”
